Steel Conservatory Bases

Keep your conservatory cool this summer (and warm next winter)

Polycarbonate foil inserts are the neat and simple solution to solar heat gain.

Not only do they reflect a considerable amount of the sun’s heat but also reduce glare and increase thermal efficiency to help keep in heat during the colder months, making your conservatory far more comfortable and usable all year round.

Once fitted, foil inserts are maintenance free. Unlike blinds they need no cleaning, will not fade, will not gather dust and require no aftercare.

In excess of 80% of solar energy is disipated back into the atmosphere reducing glare and heat build up during the hotter months. In winter it acts as a “Thermal Blanket” reducing heat loss through the roof from radiated heat and lowering fuel costs.

  • Can reduce temperature inside conservatory by up to 25 deg C
  • Reflects solar energy
  • More effective than blinds as solar energy penetrates blinds
  • Cleaner and more cost effective than blinds
  • Reduces UV rays, the major cause of fading
  • Helps retain heat in winter
  • Enjoy your conservatory all year round
  • Fit and foget

If you prefer a glass roof rather than polycarbonate, Pilkington Activ Blue self-cleaning solar control glass is a great option.

Hi Phil, unfortunately foil inserts cannot be inserted in to 16mm polycarbonate, they are for 25mm and 32mm poly.
